Changes to the BCU coaching scheme will mean that the club is short of qualified
coaches this year only.
The coaching ratio for insurance purposes is 1:8. The club has set in progress a
series of courses to facilitate an increase in coaches; this will not be completed until
August 2008.
Please be aware that if the numbers of individuals attending a club night exceeds the
number that can be covered by the coaches present that night, we will for safety
reasons only accept people on a first come first served basis.
All coaches give there time and experience free of charge.

Plans
to improve surf opportunities:
Email forum (or possible website-based forum through ‘association group’) to organise like minded paddlers to fortnightly weekend surf trips. Trips will be alternated between Saturdays and Sundays to give everyone an opportunity. A plan will be made on the Thursday evening before a weekend trip and the final call in terms of destination can be made on the morning of the trip. Rob Smith will co-ordinate this. Please let him have your email or phone number if you are interested in being kept informed.

EVENTS, AND THAT ANY PADDLER MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR
